It’s a grand old hotel, beautiful interiors. Our room had high ceilings and classic shutters with paint flaking off. I love it. It’s old, the location is about 1-2 hundred yards from the Duomo. Heck, the real Mona Lisa, as in Leonardo Da Vinci’s (Lisa del Giocondo) lived in a convent and died nearby for crying out loud. What do you want? You like the comfort of a Ramada or Best Western? Then go to one of those. The breakfast room is huge, high ceilings with frescoes and with everything you could want to eat. Well, I didn’t see smoked salmon with capers or prime rib but it’s more than a super small espresso and a cigarette to be sure. Eggs, croissants, fresh juice, salami and prosciutto with good cheeses. Only complaint? The breakfast room was a titch stuffy. First world problems right? You can take your plates and cappuccinos onto the terrace outside if you want and the stuffy problem goes away. Plus the smell of coffee with a city morning and the sound of two pigeons mating is always special.
I loved my stay in this Hotel. The rooms were big with plenty of space and wonderful complimentary soaps, shampoo, toothbrush and even a razor. There were bathrobes and slippers also for our use. Breakfast was great with some good choices and coffee machine available all day. The staff were very nice too. It was very close and central for all our needs. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic location and beautiful interior!
We stayed here for 3 nights and were extremely happy here. This hotel has beautiful interior and lovely terrace with spectacular view. The location is just couple of steps from Duomo and is surrounded with shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. There a room with tea and espresso machine where you can purchase coffees for 50 cents anytime of the day which I found so helpful. Our room was super clean and had plenty of toiletries and towels which were changed daily. Bed is comfy with memory foam mattress- so relaxing! Breakfast is served in beautiful room with lovely high ceilings and you can choose from lots of pastries, yoghurt, cereals and savoury toppings. Thank you so much for our lovely stay Hotel Paris - everything was perfect.
Friendly service & Great location
The hotel staff is very helpful & let us check in 1-2 hours earlier. The location is great, central & everything is just a few minutes walking distance. The beds are comfortable & seem quite new (flat & high pillows). The rooms are clean & spacious (we had a superior room). We Wifi in the room is a bit unstable unfortunately. You could get coffee & tea for free all day in the coffee room. The breakfast was good - with yoghurt, fresh fruit, bread, some basic cheese & ham, jam, boiled eggs, Müsli & croissants & cakes. The room smelled a bit like smoke - not sure if it was from previous visitors or people smoking outside. After leaving the windows open it was better after a day. However, they had (clean) ashtrays in the room - not ideal for non smokers. The building is old so be aware that it can be noisy; plus you are in the city center. We had no problems with that since we expected it. Considering that this is only a 3 star hotel it exceeded our expectations. Really friendly staff! We had a great stay at Hotel Paris & would come back for sure!
Love the old charm look and feel of Paris Hotel
We love the hotel. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast is delicious, especially all the coffee options including espresso, cappuccino and plant-based cappuccino. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated to the style of the hotel and era. The rooms could use a little more lighting, but perhaps that’s the best that could be done considering the age of the hotel. Also the hotel is in the center of Florence, so quick walkable access to almost all the tourist attractions in Florence. The one drawback is if you are driving to the hotel, the GPS gets lost, so allow for extra time to find your way if you dont’ know Florence and parking is a bit problematic when unloading your suitcases, so you have to be creative when finding a place to temporarily park the car. Get a parking sign from the front desk to display on your dashboard while you are unloading and checking to let the police know what you are doing. We would definitely stay here again!
Great Location, good value
I just spend one week in the Paris Hotel and did not regret choosing it. It is in a historic building and you even have a great ceiling painting while eating breakfast. The value of this hotel is great, especially when you compare it to other hotels in this area. The room was a bit worn out and like many Italian hotels not everything was in perfect condition but it was OK though for a city trip. The bed was very comfortable and it was great having an AC, because you can't open the window due to the noisy roads outside. The staff was always friendly and helpful and the room was always very clean. The breakfast was basic but good. Would come back.
